Model-based Stabilization of Vortex Shedding with CFD Verification

This paper present simulation of suppression of vortex shedding around cylinders in 2D space domain. The simulation is based on actuation of control values, obtained using Ginzburg-Landau equation to the CFD model, which is based on solving the Navier-Stokes equation. Our simulations allow systematic suppression of vortex shedding for Reynolds number 60. The simulations demonstrates the validity of the Ginzburg-Landau model.
